Naira Bounces Back Against Dollar At The Parallel Market... See Latest Exchange Rate

The Naira on Wednesday exchanged at N359.80 to the dollar at the parallel market in Lagos gaining 20 kobo from N360 exchanged on Tuesday.
 
The Pound Sterling and the Euro, however, closed at N482 and N419, respectively.
 
At the Bureau De Change (BDC) segment, the naira traded at N360 to the dollar, while the Pound Sterling and the Euro exchanged at N482 and N419, respectively.
 
Trading at the investor’ window saw the naira close at N360.91 to the dollar, while it exchanged at N305.75 at the CBN official window.
 
Traders said they expected the naira to remain stable as the CBN continues its interventions at the foreign exchange market.

Ekiti Poll: IGP Deploys 30,000 Police Personnel, Assures Residents Of Safety

The Inspector General of Police, Mr Ibrahim Idris, has deployed 30,000 police personnel in Ekiti ahead of the governorship election scheduled to hold on Saturday, July 14. Force Public Relations Officer, Mr Jimoh Moshood, revealed this in a statement on Sunday at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, the nation’s capital. He said the police boss has directed that a robust and elaborate security arrangement be implemented in Ekiti to ensure peaceful, credible, free and fair election. According to Moshood, the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Department of Operations has been deployed to the state and would be assisted by an Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), four Commissioners of Police (CPs), eight Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs), and 18 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs), while each senatorial district would be manned by a CP. Ahmed Musa and Abdullahi Shehu in Sokoto Super Eagles forward, Ahmed Musa, has been pictured as he was mobbed by excited football fans after he arrived Sokoto earlier on Wednesday for a charity football match of his Nigerian teammate, Abdullahi Shehu.    Musa joined his closest pal in the national team, Shehu Abdullahi in Sokoto as they made cash food items donation to orphanages.
