Soyinka And Obasanjo Tackle Buhari For Treating Killer Herdsmen With Kid Gloves
Soyinka and Obasanjo Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Nobel laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, on Wednesday knocked President Muhammadu Buhari for doing little to stop killings by herdsmen amid the general insecurity in the country, according to a report by Punch. While speaking on the herdsmen incident, Obasanjo, who paid a condolence visit to Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State on Wednesday, said the magnitude of security challenge the country was experiencing under Buhari’s watch was on the high side when compared to what happened during his tenure. However, Soyinka on his part said that killings by herdsmen had been persisting because the Federal Government under Buhari had been treating killer herdsmen with kid gloves.
